Season Ticket Sales Up

Owls chief executive Kaven Walker has confirmed the club have sold 500 more season tickets than the same period last season, as sales continue to rise at Hillsborough.

Almost 12,000 tickets have been snapped up by the Wednesday faithful after the first discount period which ended on Saturday. It's anticipated tha sales could match, or even top the figure from last season.

Owls CEO Kaven Walker told the official SWFC site: 'On behalf of the club I thank all the fans who have already bought their season ticket for the coming year. I would also encourage those who haven't yet bought their tickets to do so quickly to get the best deals available.'

The surge comes on the back of the pre-season optimism around S6 following the signings of Madjid Bougherra, Kenny Lunt and Wade Small. Owls boss Paul Sturrock also hopes to add more signings before pre-season training begins - with Scott Carson top of the list.

Fans are reminded that the final discount period ends on Saturday 1st July. Full details on season ticket prices are available on www.swfc.co.uk or by calling 0870 999 1867 and selecting option 2.

Do you Sheff Wed fans think you can push on up the Championship next season?

Definately be a lot higher up than last season, hopefully! Maybe a bit early to be pushing for promotion in one way or another, but it seems the players are aiming high which is always a good thing in my opinion!
