'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Parkinson Calls For Hostile Atmosphere

Charlton Athletic boss Phil Parkinson has called for an intimidating atmosphere at The Valley tomorrow for the Addicks' clash with Wednesday in npower League One.

Wednesday have won two out of their last three visits to Charlton and will be looking to continue their good form against Parkinson's troops tomorrow.

Alan Irvine's men are set to be backed by their usual brilliant following in London tomorrow.

But Parkinson has called on the Addicks fans in attendance tomorrow to make a hostile atmosphere in a bid to act as the proverbial twelfth man for his men.

'It's so important that The Valley becomes an intimidating place, and I'm asking the supporters to get right behind us,' he told the official Charlton website.

'For the majority of the season they've been terrific. I understood their reaction against Brighton but whatever happens on Saturday, they need to stick with the team.

'We're creeping up the table again and a good result on Saturday will get us in the top six.'

There's no need to remind Wednesdayites to give their full support to the boys in the blue and white tomorrow - hopefully we'll soon be silencing the home support.
