Miller Wins PFA Fans Player Award

Wednesday midfielder Tommy Miller has won the PFA Fans' Player of the Month award for League One for October, pipping Owls stopper Nicky Weaver to the accolade.

Fans voted for Miller, who only made his return from injury at the start of the month, ahead of Weaver and Huddersfield Town's Anthony Pilkington.

Miller said: 'I'm really pleased to win this award and particularly because it comes from the fans. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me.'

He was part of a Wednesday side that impressed throughout October, although losing their final match of the month at Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

PFA Fans' Awards winners: October 2010

Premier League: Samir Nasri (Arsenal)
Championship: Lewis McGugan (Nottingham Forest)
League One: Tommy Miller (Sheffield Wednesday)
League Two: Craig Davies (Chesterfield)

Not bad, might play even better if AI plays him in his proper position and not out on the wings.

Its is completely to do with fanbase - Leeds players won it every month they were nominated last year even when they went through their customary January-April awful patch.
