Tudgay Dropped For Southport Clash

Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay has been dropped for the Owls' FA Cup 1st round tie at Southport today as boss Alan Irvine makes six changes to his side.

Clinton Morrison and Neil Mellor start in attack for Wednesday, with Tudgay dropping to the bench for the clash at Haig Avenue.

Jon Otsemobor returns to the starting eleven after serving a three-match suspension, replacing Lewis Buxton, who drops to the bench, at right-back.

Tommy Spurr is also preferred to Daniel Jones at left-back while three changes are made in midfield as Gary Teale, James O'Connor and Tommy Miller replace the injured Jermaine Johnson, Darren Potter and Chris Sedgwick respectively.

Wednesday: Weaver, Otsemobor, Spurr, Beevers, Purse, O'Connor, Coke, Miller, Teale, Morrison, Mellor. Subs: Jameson, Buxton, Potter, Sedgwick, Jones, Tudgay, Heffernan.

Southport: Dickinson, Williams, Lever, Flynn, Davis, Barratt, Blakeman, Lee, Moogan, Simm, McNeil. Subs: McGinn, T Gray, Morley, S Gray, Daly, Fitzpatrick, Powell.
