'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mandaric Cools Owls Takeover Links

Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric has issued a swift response to media reports linking him with a takeover of Wednesday, playing down the rumours and committing himself to the Foxes.

BBC Radio Leicester today revealed they believed Mandaric was all set to make a bid for the cash-strapped Owls, in turn resigning from his post as Leicester chairman.

But the former Portsmouth chairman has issued a statement on the official Leicester City website insisting that he isn't in discussions with Hillsborough officials.

It reads: 'I am not currently in discussions regarding the purchase of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, or any other club for that matter.

'There is no secret of my love for English football and my desire to stay in the game. Until the right challenge is presented, I remain committed to Leicester City Football Club, our owners and our great supporters.

'I have recently been inundated with calls from numerous football clubs and agents seeking my involvement. However, I will continue to give all my support to everybody at Leicester City, and will attend tomorrow's game hoping that the players will achieve the three points against Derby County.

'As soon as I have any news or update on my own future, the Leicester City supporters will be the first people to know, via the club website.'

Mandaric recently sold the Walkers Stadium club to a Thai consortium but still remains as chairman of the Leicestershire club.

We're sure this won't be the end of the matter, and Vital will keep you informed of any twists in the tale that could come out way.

That is the first time someone has come forward and said No i have not.We all realise the media is full of bull s**t and we will be linked to anyone and everyone.Im not suprissed a Columbian Cocaine cartel has not yet been linked with us lol.if and when it happens it happens and we should all shut out this media crap as it builds up our hopes and brings it crashing down.Belive me our debt is nothing to other clubs ie Hull are £68 million in debt and do not have a big fan base like Wednesday.there is people out there who want to invest in us but like every single person in the world they want to get the best deal.So what will happen the investors will see we have not got a pot to p*ss in and live month to month with no savings etc.So these people will take advantage of our situation and try to get us on the cheap, but our board keep saying no.Now time is running out and weowe big money to people who we cannot knock,so with time running out, the board will have to yes just to keep us a float and that is how investors get in the door. But with regards administration the bank will not let us slip into administration, and if they know people have hard cash to spend they will bail us out again,as they are sure they will get there moneys back.Blimey can you see the CO-OP accepting £1 pound from every £100 pound owed,no they are a business and will want there fair wack back,so they stand to lose alot more then Wednesday if they put us into administration.Besides it is there call who we sell to and the board cannot be anymore stuborn,if the Co-Op push the deal through on the cheap then it will happen.
