It's A Praise For Wing Wizard Teale

Wednesday's attack has been drowned in praise in recent weeks, but they couldn't have the grabbed the goals without the services of a certain Mr Teale.

The 'dangerous duo' of Neil Mellor and Clinton Morrison have torn defences apart of late, keeping Marcus Tudgay on the bench and netting goals at regular intervals.

They're the preferred strike pairing of Owls boss Alan Irvine, and the vast majority of Wednesdayites, at present.

They've been showered in praise by Irvine, Owls fans, and the watching media after helping to fire Wednesday back up to fourth in the npower League One table.

Rightly so, but one player who has perhaps been left off the radar of praise is Gary Teale, so it's about time we gave a big praise to the Scottish wing wizard.

Teale, who arrived at Hillsborough in the summer from Derby County, carved out two of the three goals in last night's comprehensive 3-0 victory against Walsall.

He created many more with his pin-point crossing, and could have got on the scoresheet himself with a little bit of luck.

He's the most creative of Wednesday's midfield, and is starting to show the kind of form that saw him make regular appearances at Premier League level with Derby, and win call-ups for the Scotland squad.

The Glasgow-born winger has only just cemented his place as one of the first names down on the team sheet, after being thrown in and out of the starting eleven at the start of the season.

With his fitness now at the required levels, and his understanding with the strike pairing of Mellor and Morrison at a high, Teale is now one of Wednesday's more crucial players.

His performances, and indeed Wednesday's performances in general over the last five or so games, have even gone as far as to allow fans to cool on the demand to get Jermaine Johnson back in the first eleven.

A wing pairing of Teale and Johnson is now something that we can really look forward to, should Irvine see fit to play both attacking wide men at the same time.

But with Teale playing as he is, the Owls have one of the best attacking midfielders in the division, who will always create chances for the Wednesday front men.

Long may it continue...

very much deserved, he's had a fantastic month, christ knows how many goals he's made. Very much look forward to seeing him on the left with jj on the right. i know its slightly premature but im starting to feel a little more positive again about this season.
DEZZYP
He was quality last night, he frightened the living daylights out of Walsall and every time he had the ball at his feet he made things happen, if it was not storming down the wing and delivering a cross of quality he was in general picking the right pass at the right time, I also like the fact he is giving his all, good on him, it is nice to be positive for a change and he deserves the praise and surely a serious contender with Mellor for player of the month.

he is a good player and creates a lot of chances. the kind of player he is tho means he will flit in and out of matches so when the lull comes I hope people don't get on his back. well played

It wasn't that long ago some were slagging him off because of the car he drives.
