Tudgay Completes Forest Loan Move

Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay has today completed a loan move to Championship side Nottingham Forest with a view to a permanent deal.

Forest completed the move for the 27-year-old before today's 5pm loan transfer deadline and Tudgay will go straight into the Forest squad that travels to Leicester City on Monday.

The former Derby County hitman looks to have played his last game in the famous blue and white stripes, with Billy Davies expected to make the move a permanent one in the January transfer window.

Forest have been looking to bolster their attacking options before the loan window shuts until January.

The City Ground club had been looking to sign Leicester striker Matty Fryatt but have instead snapped up Tudgay, who started his career with their bitter rivals Derby.

quite shocked suprised they let him go.
garrymo
i agree garrymo i still think he is one of our best players and can provide that bit of quality to win a game. although M&M is working well i still think he is the best back up or maybe play him in a different position. if he doesnt play for us against well done tudders you served the club well, hope you do well at forest which you probably will do!

Goodbye tudders thanks for the derby day memories Feb 2009!

Well in hindsight we shoud've snapped Burnleys hands off last season. Hope we get a decent amount for him still. A good player and is up there with some of the recent greats!

Sorry to see him go but understandable, iv spent to many hours wondering where his best position is. watch him score a bag full at forrest now. But he's one i the few i wish well at a new club. in a way im relieved, iv been worried for the last week that AI will split up the m & m partnership. Be good to see the heff get a bit more game time. Good luck tudders.

I'm worried that this move is to stump up some cash for Dec1st. So no investment coming in, so lets ride it out a while longer.

Mind you the way he as been playing he may have known this was on the cards

Can't say I'm gutted. One season wonder.

sorry to see him go but not been the best 6 months for him. morrison & Mellor are playing well & bonding together cant split a winning combination UTO

I think it is the best move for all parties involved, Tudgay hasn't had the best season so far and with M&M playing so well he isn't going to get a look in, at least at forest he will get a chance and be able to get his form back, I say good look to him.

Recent greats? Love really is blind. Tudders is a good player but was never the same after the Burnley incident. Personally I don't think he's as good as the strikers they have at Forest so don't count on this deal going through permanently until the ink is on the paper, a bit like any takeover bid.
