Mellor Up For PFA Fans' Award

Wednesday's on-song striker Neil Mellor has made the shortlist for the ESPN PFA Fans' Player of the Month award in npower League One for November.

Mellor, on a season-long loan from Preston North End, has netted two hat-tricks in a superb month for the player, and the club, in the league, FA Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

He also netted in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over Southport in the FA Cup 1st round.

His superb goalscoring form has seen him shortlisted for the ESPN Fans' Player of the Month gong, just a moth after team-mate Tommy Miller won the award for October.

Mellor is the only Owls player shortlisted this time - Miller and goalkeeper Nicky Weaver made the shortlist last month.

The striker will be up against Bournemouth hitman Josh McQuoid, Brighton's Ashley Barnes, Southampton's Adam Lallana and Anthony Pilkington, of Huddersfield Town.

To vote for Mellor, or anyone else on the shortlist (though we recommend Mellor!), visit http://fansaward.givemefootball.com/.

how on earth teale didnt make at least the list i'll never know, he's had a fantastic month. Mellor has done very well though.

Agree re: Teale, think he should be in there too. I don't know who votes for the shortlist in the first place though.

more than likely some jobsworth sits at a desk and has a look who has scored the most that month.

Dezzyp Are you serious? Dave Richards jobsworthy doesn't sit behind a desk! He is too busy on all fours under it, looking for the half a finger missing from the Irish comedian residing in a Derbyshire cemetery
