Owls Game At Swindon Beats The Snow

Wednesday's game at Swindon Town this afternoon is the only npower League One game to get the green light on a big weekend of postponements.

Every other clash in the division has been called off due to the heavy snowfall over the last week and the arctic conditions which have made many pitches unplayable.

Even matches in the Barclays Premier League and the npower Championship have fallen victim of the weather.

But Swindon Town's County Ground ground staff have worked hard to ensure today's game goes ahead.

It means Wednesday could shoot up to the automatic promotion places in second spot should they win today - and move within three points of leaders Brighton.

A big cheers to the ground staff at Swindon. I'm sure keeping this game alive was no small task. I have to say, I'm a bit worried with our injury list (not that that's anything new to us). Anyone hear anything more on Mellor? Sounds like it's not too bad and he may be able to play this week, but I'd had to see little damage turned into major. None-the-less, we can take this one.
