Owls-Robins FA Cup Date Set

Wednesday will face Bristol City in the FA Cup 3rd round on Saturday, January 8 (kick-off 3pm) thanks to tonight's outcome between Hartlepool United and Yeovil.

The Robins had penned in Sunday, January 9 as the initial date for the clash at Ashton United - due to neighbours Bristol Rovers being scheduled to play at home on the same day.

Both Bristol sides are not allowed to play at home on the same day - and Rovers had been scheduled to face Hartlepool on the Saturday.

But Hartlepool's progression in the prestigious competition - they beat Yeovil 4-2 tonight - now means their clash with Rovers will be re-arranged - meaning the Owls can now face City on the preferred date of the Saturday.

There...we got there in the end! Saturday, January 8 is the date for the Owls' FA Cu[p 3rd round clash at Bristol City.
