'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sven Confirms Owls' Morrison Interest

Leicester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has confirmed that Wednesday have been in touch with the Foxes regarding signing defender Michael Morrison.

Morrison has been linked with a £250,000 move to Hillsborough in the January transfer window as Owls boss Alan Irvine looks to bolster his squad for a promotion push from League One.

And, although refusing to confirm where Morrison's future lies, the City boss has hinted that he could well be Wednesday-bound in a matter of weeks as the defender looks to secure regular first team football.

'I believe they have been in touch, but he is travelling with us tomorrow,' Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury.

'I would guess he wants to leave because he has played very little.

'I understand that because he is young and, when you are young, you want to play football.'

The 22-year-old played in Leicester's 2-0 defeat at Millwall last time out and is expected to start for the Foxes tomorrow when they travel to Hull City tomorrow.

Centre-backs Curtis Davies and Miguel Vitor are both out through injury, meaning Morrison will be given at least another game in a Leicester shirt before moving to S6.

I hear we're tracking Rory Fallon.
Carbone's Padawan
Can't see that Rory Fallon is any better than what we've got? He's hardly a prolic goal scorer. I'd much rather we were focussing on signing a strong ball winning midfielder that can actually pass the ball to our current strikers.
