Argyle Striker Linked With Owls

With the January transfer window moving closer, the transfer rumours have continued today with the Owls being linked with Plymouth striker Rory Fallon.

The New Zealand international is currently on loan at Championship side Ipswich Town, but Wednesday have emerged as rivals for his signature according to reports from Devon.

Fallon's loan spell with the Tractor Boys runs until Saturday, January 22 and Town boss Roy Keane could swoop to sign the striker in a cut-price deal given Argyle's current financial woes.

An 'unnamed club' have emerged as rivals for his services though, with Wednesday's name being thrown into the hat.

Owls boss Alan Irvine will have money to improve his squad in the January transfer window following the takeover by Milan Mandaric earlier this month.

Most Wednesdayites will no doubt be taking the majority of transfer rumours with a pinch of salt until the deals are actually done.

Expect more of the same in the coming days and weeks...

not sure about this one. think our strikers are better than Fallon
Carbone's Padawan
Agree. Now we actually have some money to spend I'd like to see it being spent on a better calibre of player
pob
Not sure about him either, if AI wants another striker i'd like to see someone a bit younger.
bedfordowl
Not for me either, seems to have been around for ages but he's only 28, not a proven goalscorer, just someone that you lump long balls up too, no thanks.
ecco owl
agree never been a fan of him besides which heard he'd agreed a perm deal wit ipswich

US OWL
bfl do you ever read back what you have written. You must get embarassed if you do. Why are we after players like this when we have a borderline premiership standard player in Tudgay out on loan at Forest. Bring him back and play him in position.
Radon Barrier

bladesforlife1889
PFL has even been warned on there site about his language and constant whining. Looks like even his mates are getting sick of him.
bedfordowl
what happens on the blades site is up to the blades edto and the Vital central team including me, not up to you and your posts over Xmas have been tiresome, full of language and goading. Some come over to the Vital Blades site to reciprocate. Next post on here and I'll bad and as I've said over and over and over and over by email, I don't want to, we rarely ban ... if you can't see I'm trying to be fair then I give up. I am not going through 2011 having the same discussions all the time as I did in 2010. Your choice... life is too short for this crap and certainly too short for all the hatred. You don't - like the rest of us - know it all about football, it is all about opinions, you shout down your own let alone the Owls lot. Take a deep breath ffs.
The Fear
well said
ozzietheowl

Here's some excuses PigForLife. BLAME TEVEZ. What about the time Mr Warnock told those players to stay down injured against West Brom? I forget that your team has got the world against it. Where has all your money gone anyway??? 60m from Prem, 25m from Tevez affair, at least 10m for the ugly fellas that went to play for Spurs reserves and Jags. aresn't you about 55m in debt? That works out at about 150m that's gone through the porkers books since the visit to the Prem? Where has it all gone?????????
