Argyle Striker Linked With Owls

Argyle Striker Linked With Owls

With the January transfer window moving closer, the transfer rumours have continued today with the Owls being linked with Plymouth striker Rory Fallon.

The New Zealand international is currently on loan at Championship side Ipswich Town, but Wednesday have emerged as rivals for his signature according to reports from Devon.

Fallon's loan spell with the Tractor Boys runs until Saturday, January 22 and Town boss Roy Keane could swoop to sign the striker in a cut-price deal given Argyle's current financial woes.

An 'unnamed club' have emerged as rivals for his services though, with Wednesday's name being thrown into the hat.

Owls boss Alan Irvine will have money to improve his squad in the January transfer window following the takeover by Milan Mandaric earlier this month.

Most Wednesdayites will no doubt be taking the majority of transfer rumours with a pinch of salt until the deals are actually done.

Expect more of the same in the coming days and weeks...

Agree. Now we actually have some money to spend I'd like to see it being spent on a better calibre of player

Not for me either, seems to have been around for ages but he's only 28, not a proven goalscorer, just someone that you lump long balls up too, no thanks.
