Tudgay Seals Permanent Forest Move

Marcus Tudgay has today completed a permanent move to npower Championship club Nottingham Forest.

The striker moved to the City Ground on loan last month and a permanent deal for his move from Hillsborough was always on the cards.

And Tudgay, who has scored three goals in as many starts for Forest since his loan switch, has today sealed a permanent deal.

The former Derby County hitman has moved for an undisclosed fee and has penned a two-and-a-half year deal with the club.

Owls boss Alan Irvine will be hoping to have the money made from the sale available to spend on recruiting new players for his squad this month.

Good move for everybody, they get a decent player, we get some more pennies hopefully for a proper striker. Good player but never really proved it as a striker and lets be honest, didnt really look interested for a long while. good luck to him though.

Good luck to him, looks a different player for Forest than he was for us this season.Probably should have sold him to Burnley last season, didnt really look interested recently.Probably finish as their leading scorer! Always remember his wonder strike at Lane though.

I hearing Craig Davies at Chesterfield anybody else heard anything. Thanks Marcus for everything, yes the goal at pig ground will always stand out for me, best of luck with Forest.
ecco owl
how much av we got for him? anyone any ideas?
WorksopsNumber1
Craig Davies 17 starts 13 goals
bognor_owl
it said on his wiki page when he left than a fee of £500,000 had been agreed, which sounds like a decent fee considering his performances of recent times......that goal against the pigs, splendid. possibly the greatest goal we've scored against them with the exception of sir waddle.

Cheers Tudders for that screamer against the Blunts. Good luck.

I think Davies would be a risk he could be a one season wonder yet need to allow players like that to mature, he is already bit of a journey man. However Forest have stalled contract talks with Nathan Tyson, one in one out! Not sure he is a good choice but we could be looking at him!

cheers marcus for all the memories, especially for all the goals against the blunts! good luck at forest.

His goal against the pigs was good but the greatest goal against the pigs by a Wednesdayplayer has got to be Terry Currans in 1980.

cheers marcus all the best, the time was right for everyone. he's started well at forest but then he always did score goals in clumps so he may not get anymore for months!
Hirsty's Shinpads
Handsworth Owl - absolutely right - Terry Curran's goal was the best of the lot. Chris Waddle a close second - mainly because of the occasion and location.

Hoskins at Bristol Rovers anyone, seems to be scoring for fun in a pretty poor team and that lob at Hillsborough recently was outrageous!!
