Hereford Bag Owls FA Cup Clash

Wednesday will meet Hereford at Hillsborough in the FA Cup fourth round after the Bulls managed a 1-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers in their third round game tonight.

Mathieu Manset's first-half strike gave the League Two basement dwellers somewhat of a shock victory at Adams Park against a Wanderers side gunning for promotion from the same division.

It means Wednesday will host Hereford at Hillsborough on Saturday, January 29 in the next round of the prestigious competition.

And Alan Irvine's men will be hot favourites t progress, although with the FA Cup shocks that have already happened this season, it will be no stroll in the park for the Owls.

Elsewhere tonight, Wednesday dropped out of the League One play-off spots.

Peterborough United's 2-1 victory over Brentford took them into the top-six at the expense of the Owls, who aren't in action until this weekend.

Promotion-chasing Southampton and Huddersfield Town also enjoyed victories against Oldham Athletic and Plymouth Argyle respectively.

Two years ago we met a woman and her daughter on pre-season in Malta that came from Hereford, i bet they will be happy about it, plus my sons got links with Hereford, all in all it will be nice for them to get a bit of money out of the tie.
