Sky To Cover Owls' Trip To Southampton

Wednesday's npower League One clash at Southampton on Saturday, March 19 has been selected for live Sky TV coverage.

The game was scheduled to be played on the same day with a 3pm kick-off but will now be played at 5.20pm and be screened live on Sky.

The game is set to be one of Wednesday's biggest of the season as both sides battle for promotion to the Championship this season.

The last time the Owls were on Sky they fell to a 1-0 defeat against promotion rivals Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium.

Alan Irvine and his men will be hoping for better fortunes on the south coast though against a Saints side hitting form at the moment.

Have we ever won on tv? Seriously, the only time i've seen us win on tv was the League One play off final! Other than that, I dont think I have seen it happen in my lifetime!
Owls That!
chuffin ell, one of the few matches i can get to (live in bournemouth) is now on sky. i dont get to see the owls much due to cash, family and location and i look forward to tv matches (i know we aint got a good record) as an extra. oh well, ill still be there. UTO

to be fair, we did beat Chesterfield on sky this season... albeit via penalties!

Ha, yeah i remembered the chesterfield game, didnt think sneaking through against a league 2 team warrented a mention, decent game though to be fair. it seems set in stone that when we play a league game on sky, we are terrible.

Didn't we beat the blunts a few years ago on Sky? I think I remember cameras being there when we took them down in 06-07 season at Hillsborough ...

And when we beat them in the semis at Wembley

Yeah, Brian went right mad... great game! I wish I could have been there for Wembley. Mixed feelings about Sky. Don't tend to do great on Sky, but at least I can see those. That said, online radio broadcast does me just fine over here for the other games.
