09:33: RUMOUR: Lee Cook has been linked with a move to Hillsborough for the last week - will he complete his loan switch from QPR today?

Apologies for lack of updates - systems are down at Vital Wednesday towers at just the wrong time!

11:42: DEAL COMPLETED: Wednesday's League One rivals Charlton Athletic have signed Federico Bessone on loan until the end of the season.

12:17: DEAL, ER, COMPLETED: Good old Beeb, now reporting that we've signed Isaiah Osbourne. You know, the bloke we signed...yesterday!

14:06: RUMOUR: Wednesday's League One rivals Brighton and Hove Albion are desperate to keep hold of Elliott Bennett, who has been linked with a move to Norwich City. Bennett has been at training today and could well remain at the club.

14:09 No player transfer deals done at Hilsborough today yet, although Howard Wilkinson has stepped down from his position on the Wednesday board.

15:06: ALMOST DONE: Not Wednesday, or even League One related - but Andy Carroll. £35 million. To Liverpool. Oh my...

16:44 Owls boss Alan Irvine has reportedly said that it's unlikely any more deals will be done at S6 today.

17:00: DONE DEAL: Wednesday are set to come up against Obafemi Martins in the FA Cup fifth round after the former Newcastle United hitman completes a move to Birmingham City.

18:14: DEAL COMPLETED: Wednesday have made Lee Cook their sixth signing of the month. The Owls have yet to confirm the deal but Cook is understood to have signed on loan until the end of the season.

Adam Le Fondre is refusing to sign a new contract with Rotherham and is determined to see out his contract in 2012 - will they cash in now?!

Do you remember when we used to watch this day with trepidation, worrying that a wealthy club might come in for one of our players? How good is it that things are different now! Delighted to see us sign a ball winning defensive midfielder - gosh, we've needed such a player for years. I hope he has a smashing debut tomorrow.

agree bluedog i used to hate transfer window - though to be fair its not like we've got that many players that would fly out the shop window even if we were still skint, any one want to take sedgwick off our hands??! I think the 5 new boys we've got could all be really good signings, wouldn't mind another midfielder mind if being greedy...

Did we know Wilko was going to be stepping down (I didn't)? We can't thank you enough for all your hard work to get this team back and pointed in the right direction, Howard! You're legend!

Sad to see Wilko go. Thanks for all the work he did. Hope he can return in some capacity. Btw on the transfer front was just listening to Talksport and Rohan Ricketts is without a club and might move to a League One team. Why don't we make a move for him? Also do you think we need another striker or not? Will we be signing anyone today?
