Young Owl Receives Scotland Call

Young Wednesday midfielder Liam Palmer has been called-up to take part in a training camp with the Scotland U21s.

It's the second time the highly-rated youngster has been involved in such a training camp after attracting the interest of the Scottish coaches last year.

Palmer will take part in the training camp next week and could also be involved in two behind-closed-doors matches.

He qualifies to represent Scotland through his grandparents on one side of his family.

Palmer has made five appearances for the Owls this season, all coming in victories earlier in the season.

i'd like to see him get a chance in our midfield got to be better than jo'c and potter, reviews from preseason were really good but hasn't really had a look in all season.

He could be another young one that never gets a real look in. Going out on loan might not be a bad idea?
will it ever happen

Completely agree Will It Ever Happen. I suggested a couple of weeks ago that for Palmer's development, a loan move would be best. A few disagreed but i can't see AI giving him the minutes.
