Megson set for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday are set to unveil Gary Megson as their new manager at a press conference later today.

Chairman Milan Mandaric has acted swiftly to bring Megson to the club following the sacking of Alan Irvine on Wednesday.

Megson played for the Owls in two seperate spells and his father Don will always be remembered as one of Wednesday's finest ever players.

Mandaric made no secret about his admiration for Megson and the pair worked together, albeit briefly at Leicester.

A press conference has been called for 5 o'clock today.

Welcome Mr Megson, I have a feeling you will do well. Come Wednesdayites, lets all get behind him and the team, MM knows what he is doing, WTID.

I'm not sure that there was much difference between all of the candidates mentioned. I think it was Megson's previous links to the club that swung it!
