Palmer Starts As Megson Rings Changes

Young midfielder Liam Palmer has been selected in Wednesday's starting eleven for their tough npower League One clash at Bournemouth tonight.

Palmer impressed in the second half when he was introduced from the bench in the Owls' FA Cup defeat at Birmingham City at the weekend.

And he's been rewarded by boss Gary Megson by being given a first league start for the Owls at Dean Court tonight.

Megson has also brought Mark Beevers and Richard Hinds back into the starting eleven too, with Michael Morrison and Mark Reynolds, who both started at St Andrews, not even making the squad.

Gary Madine returns from being cup-tied to lead the Wednesday attack, with captain Clinton Morrison being moved to the bench.

Bournemouth: Jalal, Smith, Wiggins, Cooper, Pearce, Pugh, Robinson, Hollands, Feeney, Symes, Ings. Subs: Stockley, Baudry, Partington, Stewart, Arter, Fletcher, Purches.

Wednesday: Weaver, Hinds, Spurr, Beevers, Johnson, Teale, Miller, Osbourne, Palmer, Sedgwick, Madine. Subs: Jones, Mellor, O'Connor, Morrison, Jameson, Heffernan, Potter.
