Owls Make Two Changes For Magpies

Owls Make Two Changes For Magpies

Wednesday boss Gary Megson has made two changes to his starting eleven for today's visit of Notts County to Hillsborough in npower League One.

The Owls boss has gone with two strikers, with Clinton Morrison and Neil Mellor being recalled to the starting eleven in the absence of the injured Gary Madine and James O'Connor respectively.

Madine missed out with a calf injury sustained in the Owls' 3-2 win at Oldham Athletic in midweek, while O'Connor drops to the bench.

The Owls have already picked up two wins against County this season, in the JP Trophy and in the league, and will be looking to make it a hat-trick of wins this season.

Wednesday: Weaver, M Morrison, R Johnson, Beevers, Spurr, Sedgwick, Osbourne, Miller, Teale, C Morrison, Mellor. Subs: O'Donnell, Jones, Coke, O'Connor, Potter, J Johnson, Heffernan

County: Nelson, Darby, Edwards, Lee, Bishop, McDonald, Gow, Sproule, Clifford, Harley, Demba-Nyren. Subs: Burch, Chilvers, Spicer, Sodje, Brandy, Williamson, Hollis

I know i asked for Mellor & Heff. Thought Mellor looked lazy today & Morrison not much better, dont think Heff would get a game if he was the only striker on the books.Could well see him going back to Donni on loan with Sharpe injured. Not much better than last week.roll on May

I agree with you jamesc1905 absolute s**t, I would rather pay to watch sunday league football, can't believe we were tipped to go straight back up this season by pundits who also said we have a strong solid promotion pushing team, they were right about the latter if we were in blue sq prem. I personally would not be sorry to see one player in our so called football team leave, I can see all those players released at the beginning of the season happy to be at other clubs still don't understand why we let Leon Clarke go the only player that showed any passion in the last game of the season prob to much passion he would def do a job in this division, but nope we replace him with CM & NM both whom are over rated, overpaid and not wanted by anyone. One last thing before I end my rant has nobody told Megson that he can afford to get players in on loan I'm sure that we can get 11 promising players from the top 6 prem teams combined Rant Over for now!!!

Here Here jamesc1905 well and truly not gud enough utter cak.If Heffers doesnt get a chance now then he neva will, wots he done walked under a ladder, smashed a mirror must be summat cos hes avin nothin but bad luck.Come on GM giv the man a chance you never know he cud end up being the top goal scorer come end of season cos he looks more likely to score wen he gets a chance.Heffers changed game wen we played Charlton and his build up play and work off the ball is alot more convincing than wot ive seen from Heskey sori Clinton. This team is so frustrating.

Why do we pay to watch this ****? Can someone please give me 1 reason (that has not been used before in the last 10, as we go down down down through the leagues) as to why i/we should buy yet another season ticket next year???? I think someone from the board should be on here!!!!!

I watched the Heff at Notts County a few years back. He was always hungry fir the ball, put himself about and seemed to be ENJOYING playing so come on Gary give him a chance. He could be our saviour!!

any team that can go for over three months without a home win in the third tier of football is in trouble - wednesday even more so, so i'm incredibly worried. but still, three or four wins on the bounce and we'll at least climb into the top half. let's try and stay positive guys!
