Folly Training With Owls

Folly Training With Owls

Former Owls loanee Yoann Folly is rumoured to be training with the Owls in a bid to secure a permanent contract at Hillsborough.

Folly featured in the Owls 1-0 victory over Rochdale in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Middlewood Road training ground this week according to media reports.

Owls boss Paul Sturrock has refused to comment on the reports, but is a big fan of the Southampton youngster after giving him his chance while manager of the Saints.

Folly has been offered a new contract at the South coast club, but it's thought the Frenchman would relish the chance of first team football under Sturrock at Hillsborough.

Folly made 14 appearances for the Owls on loan last season, and helped the club avoid a swift return to League One. Southampton brought him to England rom St Etienne for £250k in 2003. He's also spent loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Preston North End.
