Wolves Man Joins Owls On Loan

Wednesday have completed the signing of young Wolves defender Danny Batth on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season.

Batth, a product of the Premier League club's Academy, is expected to go straight into Wednesday's squad for the trip to Southampton in npower League One on Saturday.

Owls boss Gary Megson will be looking for the youngster to help stop the wave of goals Wednesday have been conceding in recent weeks and months - something which has seen them slide alarmingly down the table.

Megson has tried a number of options in his defence but is seemingly keen to add more defensive options to his squad.

The centre-back has had previous loan spells at Colchester United and across the city at Sheffield United.

Cud have done with an older head in central defence to get it in order, lets hope this guy can do it and not be quiet and have no confidence.
Seconded. Maybe looking at having him and signing him at the end of the season? Would still want a more experienced centre-back too.
obviously beevers cheekbone is knackered then
I can see us pushing for the play offs now

Never heard of him! Just spoke to my mate who plays for Wolves first team who says he's 'ok'! Brilliant! I'm ok, sign me!
Owls That!
Well it's not necessarily experience we need but just someone vocal who can order people about. This kids has skippered the youth and reserve teams at Wolves and McCarthy rates him for his vocal presence!
cant be worse than what we've got.All we need know is a couple of midfielders a striker and goalie, bring on Southampton

I can see us winning on Saturday...but then I have just been certified clinically insane!
I understand the need for the emergency loan I just hope that Bath isn't the only one, I hope by the end of the week there are a few more. If we put him straight in for Saturday it's unfair to think this one man can make the sort of difference we need and have the required effect on his own. It's like sticking a blister plaster on a major laceration. We need a proper defensive leader, someone that can instantly and without reservation lead the line.
If we could why not try 5-3-2 if there are two guys that can make the effort to play 90 minutes running box to box... although I'd prefer if Megson could swing to play 5-5-4. WTID
Unfortunately I think this means that Beavers season is over and not that Reda Johnson has been sacked. So Micheal Morrison might still get a game, which is amazing really, bet he cant believe it either. The experience in which you talk was hounded out of the club by a section of our "very loyal" support. Well done numpty's. The same halfwits who cheer Reda Johnson every time he touches the ball. I suppose I will now get a tirade of abuse from certain people on here because I was the "sap" who sat there and didnt abuse our own players whilst they were actually playing. Its done a lot of good lads and lasses, we are in a worse state now than we were then. For information purposes only. I am not as "sap" like these days, I actually screemed for a player to be taken off whilst he was playing the other night. Thankfully, the manager must have had the same opinion of the lazy, uninterested, orange wearing boot excuse for a footballer as I did, as he didnt appear in the second half, or maybe he had had enough by then. I certainly had. I called yesterday for Megson to stop hiding behind the fact that he had not signed any of the players at his disposal and do something positive. Unfortunately, without Beavers we have a true emergency, because the rest are not worthy of a shirt. Moan over, one day left to renew the tickets, wonder if they noticed my protest of hanging on till the death before renewing. Had to laugh at the website, there is a note under the table of season ticket prices that states that if we go up, then the prices will increse immeadiately by 20%. Thats a bigger laugh than the Premier League return ticket. Wonder if they will still honour that. Anyway fellow inmates, we can only hope for brighter and warmer times to sit and watch the non-entertaining fodder that is repeatedly served up. Could be worse, dad could have been a blade. Feel better already. In Milan we trust. Up the Owls
Do we need a bath in defence - we already have a shower of ****3. Fed up owl, my dad is a blade

Some would argue we've been in a state of true emergency since the first couple of months of the season. I've always supported the team on the pitch and have tried to remain positive, recently however I've been driven to the brink of despair and outlined players that have been playing poorly. I fear that the "New manager" impact has worn off and instead of changing losing to winning which happens in so many other clubs we changed from "never looking like winning" to "occaisionally not losing"... think this is a reflection of how broken we were and that the issues ran a lot deeper than just a lack of confidence. Glimmers are all we can hope for over the rest of the season and hopefully these glimpses of good play will secure our League 1 place. I will never "Boo" our team off the pitch and can't believe there were Boo's and whistles as the team came back on to the pitch on Saturday. I sat slumped in misery Saturday my only fear being that the crowd photographer may have snapped me trying to fashion a tool to cut my wrists out of my Bovril lid. I have been truely ashamed of some of the play on the pitch but don't call for the players to be thrown away as I don't think even MM has the bank role for a whole new squad and so a fair few we will still have next season. If they need to build charater they wont find a much better test than the next couple of months. "In Milan I trust!" Up the Owls
not sure why we got this lad when he was at the sty earlier in the season hope he does well for us
Nice one sussexowl, keep taking the tablets.I reckon we might get a draw against Southampton-IN MILAN WE TRUST.
