Owls Close In On Loan Keeper

Wednesday boss Gary Megson will hope to bring an experienced goalkeeper to Hillsborough before the close of the loan transfer window tomorrow.

Megson is keen to add a new stopper to his squad following an injury to regular number one Nicky Weaver, despite a fine performance by Richard O'Donnell at Southampton at the weekend.

And he has just over 24 hours to complete a deal, with the transfer window for loans coming to a close tomorrow.

Megson is expected to throw the new addition straight into the starting line-up for the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, if successful in his search.

It could be a busy day or so at S6, with Joey O'Brien also linked with a loan move until the end of the season, as reported earlier on Vital.

I'm going to have a stab in the dark and say Carl Ikeme from Wolves. It has to be a Premiership 2nd or 3rd choice keeper or we may as well just stick with O'Donnell.

random guess but maybe Brad Jones from liverpool, had him before and it would keep him on his toes for next season if reina were to leave liverpool ??

Anyone but Brad Jones! Atrocious keeper, god knows how he hot a move to Liverpool!
Owls That!
Not being funny but O'Donnell is 22 not 16. He looked good enough and surely he must be and why would he be in the club.

o donnell may be 22 but he is the only keeper we have at present so another keeper is needed to take us to the end of the season

Could be Brian Jensen?

I accept another keeper is needed, but all the reports are that he will go straight into the side at the weekend. How can that be right?
