Megson Charged With Improper Conduct

Megson Charged With Improper Conduct

Wednesday boss Gary Megson has been charged with improper conduct following the Owls' 1-1 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge at the weekend.

Megson was sent to the stands at Victoria Road after protesting to referee Steve Rushton following appeals for a penalty which were waved away by the official.

The Football Association has acted swiftly in charged the Owls boss and he has until 4pm on Monday to respond.

The charge comes under FA Rule E3 and Megson could well appeal against the decision in the coming days.

Like a manager to be sent to the stands now and again shows he cares.Unfortuanatly decsions will go against you that is the modern game. Until we can use video evidence, dont think it should be used in a case like our penalty shout though.

Honestly don't know how it was controversial. It was a penalty. We would of been screaming for it. The ref didn't have a good game but it doesn't excuse him getting sent off. He should know better, now we could possibly get a fine or he could get a touchline ban. Poor from Megson.

Dont mind it to be honest, shows he cares and can only imagine that he'll have used it as a way of saying to the squad I care this much about being at wednesday and if you want to stay we need you to care similarly.

Bit your tongue Megson! He's a bit too quick to open his trap at times. Concentrate on matters on the field and turning us into a more eye-catching side!

Yep! I always show my wife I care by shouting at her. Totally unacceptable behaviour, we had better get used to it though as Megson has previous on this matter

Good on you Gary! Transfer your passion for OUR club to the players or get shut of them! UTO

I think it was one of those decisions that refs can give but in those circumstances 99.9% of refs wouldnt, dont think the ref did much wrong but in my eyes it was clearly ball to arm, its impossible as a player not to use your arms out to balance, it clearly was not on purpose. To give an reason why, try sprinting holding your arms behind your back, arms have a lot to do with balance and when a ball comes at you from that distance at that pace you dont know much about it. I can understand megson being so angry but its just one of those things, I would have been as angry with the players not to be able to kill off the likes of D&R no offence to them.

Its about time these refs are punished in the way managers are its becoming a joke now,why are these officials protected, fines or suspensions should be in place for these referees who cost teams points and money for complete negligence.

i think the players should be charged with inproper conduct after tues night we are rubbish no confidence no settled team no passion no desire need i continue worst team i have seen since 1978 when we avoided relegation to league 4 by 1 point.

God, we all moan when managers are too bland and unpassionate, then when they get a bit of passion in them you slag 'em off aswell! C'mon guys, at least he's showing he has some sort of passion.
