Owls Confirm Osbourne Departure

Wednesday have today confirmed that on-loan midfielder Isaiah Osbourne has returned to parent club Aston Villa.

The midfielder was due to remain at Hillsborough until the end of the season but has seen his loan spell from the Barclays Premier League club cut short.

The 23-year-old made 11 appearances for the club since arriving from Villa.

Alan Irvine brought him to Hillsborough just days before getting the sack as Owls boss.

He featured regularly since Gary Megson took charge but wasn't in the squad that faced Colchester United at the weekend and has since returned to Villa Park.

... I just wonder if he's been playing like a loan player with little to lose, with no intention in making his move permanent and not giving it all while on the pitch!! I think he's looked class in spells but I have also wondered if he's been giving it all on the pitch or just going through the motions?! With Megsons recent comments in regards to effort and honesty I wonder whether he didn't see that in Osbourne?! He knows O'brien and after Brentford knows that the two of them can't play together!! I think he had been carrying a knock from 2 or 3 weeks ago and wasn't fully recovered from it...... probably the reason he went back......
