Senior Trio In For Owls Reserves

Tommy Spurr and Liam Palmer will get a run out for Wednesday reserves when they host their Port Vale counterparts tonight.

Defender Mark Reynolds will be another senior figure involved in the clash at Stocksbridge's Look Local Stadim (kick-off 7pm).

The trio have struggled for regular first team football with the Owls in recent weeks and will see the game as the ideal opportunity to keep their fitness levels up and make an impression to get the nod in Wednesday's remaining npower League One fixtures.

They'll be senior figures in a young squad that has failed to win a game in the totesport.com Central Division this season and currently sit bottom of the table.

Tonight's match is the last of the season for an Owls side who fell to a 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture at Vale earlier in the season.

Vale currently sit second in the table behind champions Derby County.

Admission is free but all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Owls squad (from): Jameson, Barnett, Reynolds, Eckhardt, Perazzo, Spurr, Tumilty, Palmer, Husbands, Gray, Poulton, Pinhorn, Cuff, Kendal, Canham, Kyle.

Vale: Martin, Raglan, Plant, Connolly, Bratt, Davies, Jefferies, Rice, Cox, McGowan, Lloyd, Johnson, Hughes, Lee.
