Owls confirm Leeds and Stoke friendlies

Wednesday have confirmed their friendly schedule for the close season, with FA Cup finalists Stoke City and local rivals Leeds United the highlights.

The Owls' pre-season fixtures are very much locally orientated, with Barnsley and Rotherham United also included in the fixtures.

Gary Megson and his men will start their 2011-12 season preparations with a training camp in Austria at the start of July before returning home for the competitive friendly matches.

Games against local non-league sides Worksop Town, Stocksbridge Park Steels, Sheffield FC and Alfreton Town will also follow.

Full pre-season schedule:

Wednesday 6/7 - 13/7 - Austria training camp and game.

Saturday 16/7 - Worksop Town (A, 3pm)

Tuesday 19/7 - Rotherham United (A, 7.30pm)

Wednesday 20/7 - Stocksbridge PS (A, 7.45pm)

Saturday 23/7 - Leeds United (H, 1pm)

Sunday 24/7 - Sheffield FC (A, 3pm)

Tuesday 26/7 - Barnsley (A, 7.30pm)

Wednesday 27/7 - Hallam FC

Saturday, 30/7 - Stoke City (H, 1pm)

Sunday, 31/7 - Alfreton Town (A, 2pm)
