Potter flocks Owls nest

Midfielder Darren Potter has left Wednesday by mutual consent and is expected to join npower League 1 rivals MK Dons.

The former Wolves man has been linked with a move to the Dons for a number of weeks and his departure from S6 seems to have paved the way for him to finally complete the move.

Potter has been deemed surplus to requirements at Wednesday by boss Gary Megson, who is rebuilding his squad for a promotion push next season.

He made 103 appearances in the famous blue and white stripes, scoring nine goals along the way, after signing from Wolves in the summer of 2009 following a successful loan stint.

He was such a let down he won't be missed

Let's replace him with a midfielder that offers a little bit more thrust going forward - please!
TheMightyBoosh
can only think that there is a imminent midfield signing on the way question is who ??
retfordowl1867
Apparently between us n ipswich for Koumas signature !
INOUTFLS
if it's between us and ipswich what chance do we have?

Just wondering if thats the reason that harry has gone ?
INOUTFLS
More than likely we don't want to be lumbered with him on the wage bill and it releases some funds for wages.
TheMightyBoosh
think the real reason potter has left is his blatant inability to play football.
DEZZYP
can't say i'm too upset at this one will be interesting who GM decides to partner Prutton

TheMightyBoosh - it may be worth doing a "Crimp" about that whole thing.

Good business this for us.Well done Gary, getting Potter off the wage bill.He did very little for us and wont be missed. No chance of getting Koumas for me if Ipswich are in for him.Hes a quality player and would love to see him wearing the blue/white but dont think he will come.
