Buxton and O'Connor sign new deals

Wednesday duo Lewis Buxton and James O'Connor have both signed new deals to stay at the club.

The pair were two of three players to be offered new contracts at Hillsborough next season - Jermaine Johnson was the other - and they've both agreed to extend their stays.

Former Stoke City man Lewis Buxton has agreed to stay for another two years while midfielder O'Connor will remain at S6 for next season at least.

Buxton was thought to be attracting interest from some Championship clubs with his contract at Wednesday due to expire this summer, but has opted to remain at the club.

Winger Johnson is also expected to pen a new deal to remain at the club, pending issues surrounding his visa.

Excellent signings! Good to have JOC around the club and on match days experience wise and always like Buxton so good stuff all in all!
Owls That!
JOC gives 110% and has so much passion which hopefully will rub off on the younger players he's great to have around the club. And also brilliant buxton signed

Good players to have at the club, but if I’m brutally honest , if we are going for promotion then they should not be considered for the starting 11. Or 13. Always been a fan of both players though.

JOC runs his arse off and has experience, and buxton is a good defender but also can play anywhere along the back four, very happy with this. UTO
