Morrison latest to be linked with exit

Wednesday defender Michael Morrison is the latest name to be linked with a move away from Hillsborough this summer.

Wednesday's npower League 1 rivals Charlton Athletic have been linked with his services after Morrison has seemingly dropped way down the pecking order under Owls boss Gary Megson.

Megson is clearing the decks to make way for new signings for a promotion push this season, after last season's squad made it a season to forget for Owls fans.

Morrison is understood to be on the list of players who could be set for pastures new, and the Addicks could take full advantage.

The former Leicester City man was one of a number of players signed by former Owls boss Alan Irvine just before he was sacked and Megson took charge.

Morrison made 12 league appearances in the blue and white stripes since his move from the Foxes in January but didn't feature in the final month of the campaign.

Hope not, he's another one like Reynolds that deserves a summer workout and fresh start next season!

Agreed Boosh, not really understanding how players who came highly rated such as Morrison (who was promoted from league 1 previously with Leicester) and Reynolds who was meant to be a hot prospect suddenly turned crap on arrival. I am glad Megson wants to clear out the rubbish and wants signing players with commitment and passion but I don't understand how new young players turn bad overnight. Surely 6 months after joining they don't want to leave and will want to fight for their place. So lets keep the competition!

Deserved a chance. How we can let him go to club like Charlton who have clearly shown ambition this summer is disgusting. He and Reynolds were both chucked into a team where the entire team was playing bad. M.Morrison was also played quite alot at right back in his short spell in the team when he is a natural centre half. As for Reynolds he also deserves a chance you can't tell me someone who Rangers offered £750,000 a couple of years ago for is a bad player based on the 7 appearances he made at SWFC?

I have watched Michael alot over a two year period at Cambridge Utd when he was a teen. He has alot to offer and potentially he could be Prem standard. Needs a confidence boost and is well worth keeping. Please don't sell him
