Young Owls kick-off pre-season action

A youthful-looking Wednesday side kicked-off the Owls' pre-season matches last night against Dinnington Town.

After the six week summer break, the Owls continued their ties with Town by sending a side of young players to the Phoenix Park Ground for the first pre-season friendly of the summer.

No first team players were present for the match but the young Owls left with a 2-1 victory to kick-off the close season in winning fashion.

Wale Ayoola opened the scoring for the Owls before Dinnington levelled, but Bradley Tomlinson grabbed the winner for the visitors just after the hour mark.

Good game, really enjoyed it but Owls were a little fortunate.Keeper made countless saves in 1st half as Dinnington peppered his goal . Faired a little better in 2nd Half when Dinno fielded their Central Midlands team.
