Former Owl Miller joins rivals Town

Former Wednesday midfielder Tommy Miller has signed for the Owls' League One promotion rivals Huddersfield Town on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old saw his contract at Hillsborough come to an end last season but the Terriers have acted swifty to bag the midfielder on a one-year deal for the forthcoming campaign.

The former Sunderland and Ipswich Town player had enjoyed two seasons at Wednesday, making 39 league starts for the club and also captaining the club during his time at S6. He scored 11 goals from midfield last season.

He'll be pulling on the blue and white stripes of Huddersfield next season though and could feature against the Owls in the two league meetings next term.

Well thats gonna come back and bite us in the bum when we play Huddersfield..... Must admit, I would have liked him to stay at S6 next season but wasn't to be.... Ah well, good luck Tommy (not against us, obviously)...

Probably one of our best players last term, bad to lose him, especially to a rival for promotion club. I'm sure his wages weren't anything a league1 club would want though, so I guess he had to go.

Agree.I liked him and wanted him to stay.He was one of our better players last season and scored quite a few goals for a midfielder. No doubt he will score against us.Think he was on £6,000 a week.Good luck Tommy, all the best.
