Wednesday aim for open day success

Wednesday will hold their summer open day at Hillsborough this weekend.

Owls fans are invited to the stadium on Sunday to see the players take part in a short open training session and also get their hands on the new home kit.

It'll be the first time Wednesdayites can catch a glimpse of Gary Megson's new-look squad on home soil and comes just a day after Wednesday's first pre-season friendly on British soil against Worksop Town on Saturday.

Entrance is free and fans can make their way down to S6 for a 10am start before the squad starts their training sessions at 11am. All the action will take place around the North Stand and North Stand car park.

Fans can then meet the players from 12 noon until 2pm to get autographs and photographs.

There will be a number of other activities to enjoy including a penalty shoot-out competition on an inflatable pitch and a speed gun test competition.

Parking will also be available free of charge in the Wednesdayite car park on Penistone Road, opposite the Kop.
