Owls duo in Team of the Week

Owls duo Rob Jones and David Prutton have been named in this season's first npower League One Team of the Week.

The pair both scored in Wednesday's opening day 2-0 victory over Rochdale at Hillsborough on Saturday - skipper Jones opening the scoring with a header before Prutton lashed in a superb second-half volley.

The goals only put the icing on the cake of top-drawer performances from both players, with former Leeds and Forest man Prutton making his debut in a league match for the Owls and Jones doing the same since signing on a permanent basis.

Four players from the Steel City were included in the Team of the Week, with United players Harry Maguire and Stephen Quinn also getting the nod for their performances in the Blades' 2-0 win at Oldham Athletic.

Notts County hitman Lee Hughes and Stevenage goalkeeper Alan Julian were also amongst the players included.
