Lines set to complete Owls move

Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines looks set to complete a move to Wednesday today, according to reports.

The 25-year-old is understood to be having a medical at Hillsborough ahead of a permanent switch to S6 from the League Two side.

Owls boss Gary Megson has already completed deals for strikers Chris O'Grady and Daniel Uchechi this week and looks set to make Lines, who's made 167 first team appearances for the Pirates, his third addition of the week.

Lines was expected to move to Crystal Palace over the summer after the midfielder enjoyed a week-long stint at Selhurst Park, but the Eagles didn't follow up their interest.

And the Owls look to have swooped for the highly-rated midfield man, with a deal expected to be announced within the next 24 hours.

dont know much about this chap either but must have some quality about him not sure why we signed another centre midfielder though when a winger priority !

Quality signing. I know priorities are elsewhere. But we all thought with the amount of central midfielders we have that we are lacking in creative quality.

supposed to be a bit of a free kick specialist too. which is nice.

I am wondering if a winger actually IS priority now or whether GM will play 4-3-3 and hope that the full backs will push on knowing that Semedo will sit back and cover!
