Seasiders Graham Bid Accepted

Owls boss Paul Sturrock has accepted a bid from League One side Blackpool for out-of-favour striker David Graham this afternoon.

Tangerines boss Simon Grayson has made a bid to take the 27-year-old former Wigan and Torquay man to Bloomfield Road on a permanent basis and terms will be discussed tomorrow.

The Scot fell out-of-favour with Paul Sturrock and Owls fans alike after moving accross the penines to Hillsborough from Wigan almost a year ago.

Graham enjoyed a successful loan spell with League One outfit Huddersfield Town towards the end of last season and helped them secure a play-off place bagging nine goals in 18 appearances for the Yorkshire club.

But Sturrock refused to allow Town permission to speak with the striker about the possibility of a permanent move to the Galpharm this summer.

It now looks as though Sturrock will off-load Graham to secure funds for a new goalkeeper after the loan hope for Liverpool and England goalkeeper Scott Carson ended last week.

Graham joined the Owls for an undisclosed fee from Wigan Athletic in August 2005. He netted just three goals in his 26 outings for the club.

We'll probably get peanuts for him but its peanuts we desperately need by the sounds of it! Will probably do well for them and come back to haunt us as per usual!
