JJ to return to training this week

Wednesday winger Jermaine Johnson is set to return to training this week after missing the start of the season due to a knee injury.

The Jamaican has been forced to sit in the stands for the start of Wednesday's 2011-12 campaign after suffering the knee injury in the final pre-season friendly of the summer against Stoke City.

But Owls boss Gary Megson has told BBC Radio Sheffield that the wing wizard is all set to return to training towards the end of the week.

The news will be a big boost for Megson and Wednesdayites, with Johnson adding some much-needed bite to the Owls' so-far limited attacking options.

He won't feature in this weekend's League One clash against Scunthorpe United at Hillsborough, but could be back on the pitch in a matter of weeks.

Lets not get too giddy. We waited ages for him last season, scored a wondergoal within 5 mins of coming on and then did nothing for the rest of the season. Good to have him back though.

Regardless of who we play up front JJ has no final product, vastly over rated.

he might be over rated but he's got pace and can take players on, would rather have jj than sedgwick
