Owls set to land Slovenian Kasnik
Wednesday are set to bolster their defensive options with the loan addition of Slovenian centre-back David Kasnik from Olimpija Ljubljana.
Olimpija sporting director Milenko Acimovic has confirmed the move on the club's official website, stating he will remain at Hillsborough until February at least, although Wednesday have yet to confirm the deal.
Acimovic told the club's official website: 'Kasnik got a very good offer from Sheffield Wednesday.
'Even the player himself wanted to move to England, where he will stay for at least six months.'
A new striker has been made a priority before the close of the current transfer window tomorrow but Megson also has concerns over his defence, especially following the 3-2 win over Scunthorpe United at the weekend.
Kasnik, 24, can also play left-back and his arrival could mean the departure of one of, or both of, Mark Reynolds and Mark Beevers before tomorrow's deadline.

Beevers really has fallen down the pecking order. Personally thought he was better than Reda Johnson and after him once being valued around 4 million what the hell is happened to make him 5th choice in League 1 and probably on his way out?

Let Beevers go. I don't think I've seen too many defenders as clumsy as him in my life. Another defender can't help, we're hardly watertight at the minute. Get this lad in instead of Danny Batth - he was terrible against Blackburn and Scunthorpe!

got to say that Beevers suffered by the defensive frailties of the last couple of years but looked the best of our defenders against Blackpool. Can't help but think that confidence is a big thing with him and when the defence gets as fragile as it as over the last two seasons that has to affect a player. It's a shame as I think the lad could be a star and wish him well whatever happens.

Totally agree with you robc wasnt just the best of our defenders against blackpool but was man of the match.If any have to go i would let reda go before beevers UTO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't sell Beevers, I was disapointed when Spurr left but he was 23. I used to think Richard Wood was rubbish before he turned 22 and then he turned into a great defender, no point writing Beevers off.

Having seen that tonight 5 players would be more appropriate. Cause if we get any injury's this season would like to think we'd have to use any of them that played tonight, with the exceptions of 1 or 2 maybe.
