Beevers moves on loan to MK Dons

Defender Mark Beevers became the second Owls player to move away from Hillsborough on loan today after completing a move to League One rivals MK Dons.

The centre-back will play for the Dons, who also play in npower League One, until December 31 2011.

Beevers, who was subject to a bid from Barnsley in the summer, is down the pecking order at Hillsborough at the moment and the move will give him more first team action.

His appearances this season have been limited to Carling Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy competitions.

I doubt very much he will leave permanently, makes sense if he's down the pecking order at the moment and not guaranteed a starting spot to let him go and get some games elsewhere. He was only playing the cup games anyway although I agree I thought we was one of a few who impressed the other night!

Too good a player to loan out to one of our league rivals!

Agree with carlton owl,we should be keeping Beevers and offloading Reda. He should be on the bench every week in my opinion. Hopefully he will come back and get some games.

Reda Johnson is not fit to lace his boots in my opinion. However, I think Danny Batth is only here until January, Maybe GM thinks Beevers can get a whole load of games, prove he is back to his best and walk straight back in. We can only hope.

I personally don't rate Beevers. He can be ridiculously clumsy and seems unable to hold on any form in the last couple of seasons. Danny Batth, like Beevers, is showing his inexperience and naivety at back and I'd much rather have Rob Jones and Reda there. I wish Beevs all the best, but I think this is a good move.

It's a shame but what's done is done I'm gm knows what he's doing hebtrains with these players day in day out, I think he's got more of an idea what he's doing than any of us, but please tell me he can't play against us though.

I have no issue with him going out on loan... as long as he comes back a better player ready to take back his spot with both hands. He's still young, needs games and to learn... (I'd rather him do that with someone else now we he's not going to have cup outings) I think Batth is only with us till January and Megson is hoping to have options in the squad to fill the spot he will vacate with confidence. At that point Megson will hopefully secure Marshall for the rest of the season and another winger. If he doesn't get one in on loan sooner than that! UTO
