Owls striker Morrison in demand

Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison is attracting the interest of a number of clubs after his future at Hillsborough was recently thrown into doubt.

Reports from the Sheffield Star suggest Morrison has rejected a loan move to npower League Two side Swindon Town - managed by former Owl Paolo Di Canio.

It comes after a bid from MK Dons was reportedly turned down because the Dons refused to increase their contribution towards Morrison's wages.

According to The Star, the Robins wage offer was acceptable by Wednesday but Morrison is understood to have rejected a move to the County Ground.

Swindon are looking for a new striker to plug the gap left by former Owl Leon Clarke, who has moved to Chesterfield following a bust-up with Di Canio.

A move away from S6 is still likely for Morrison following the arrival of David McGoldrick on-loan from Nottingham Forest. Ryan Lowe and Chris O'Grady also returned to training this week to bolster the attacking options for Owls boss Gary Megson.

maybe if he did not disrepect Megson after his goal at Charlton he would still be a squad member only im not gonna lose sleep over his departure.

He will just take his wages and wait until his contract expires. Hes turned down a loan move to Swindon. Talks a good game though.

If he was as good as he says he'd be playing for Real Madrid.
