Morrison makes MK Dons loan move

Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison has moved to npower League One rivals MK Dons on an emergency one-month loan deal.

The 32-year-old will be able to feature for Karl Marginson's men up to an including Saturday, October 22, starting with their trip to face Bury today.

It's understood to be the second time the Dons have moved for the former Coventry City and Birmingham man, with the Owls reported to have rejected an initial loan bid because their wage contribution was too low the first time around.

Swindon Town also made a move for Morrison but the striker turned down the chance to join Paolo Di Canio's men, according to reports.

The Dons were keen for his services though and returned with a new and improved bid to get their man.

Morrison has featured regularly for Wednesday at the start of the season but has fallen down the pecking order following the loan arrival of Nottingham Forest striker David McGoldrick, and the imminent return from injury of both Chris O'Grady and Ryan Lowe.

So let's see if I've got this right - Clinton's off to play five blinders for one of our strongest rivals while we continue to pay a chunk of his wages and then on the 23rd of next month we get him back???

Personally glad to see him gone as he hasn't offered us that much really. He may be experienced but hasn't used his experience that well from what I see with his constant moaning! Shame another player has gone to a rival though!

No, you've got it all wrong, agent Morrison has been sent on a secret mission to destroy one of our rivals seasons. Apparently, he missed a chance for a winner today. How unlucky. Or was it? Or was it?

"Beavers gets the ball with a strong challenge, plays the ball out from the back with confidence.... Potter picks it up beats three popping a pin-point pass to Morrision who scores after a fabulous first touch." If we heard that week in week out all of these players would be in our starting 11 without fail this season. Thing is Potter wasn't any good, Morrison couldn't show the faithful how good he is or was and Beavers was short on confidence, match practice and game craft. I for one am not bothered how good MK's season is while employing a Wednesday spine to the team I'm only concerned on how we are doing "it's all in our hands..." WTID
