Not a game of much importance riding on it, but I'll always remember a 3-2 home win against Reading 5/6 years ago. 2-0 down at HT, think Allan Johnston ended up getting the winner, pretty smart chip if I remember rightly!

It has to be the ultimate 'I was there' game: Wednesday 5-4 ManU August '68. Brilliant sunshine, 51,000+ crowd and they'd arrived on the back of winning the European Cup. They fielded their classic lineup (Charlton, Best, Law etc) and raced to a 4-2 lead. We were trailing 4-3 at the break and won the match kicking towards the kop second half. Should've been six actually, a Don Megson cross went straight in but the ref gave offside against Johnny Fantham. Goals by Jack Whitham (3) John Ritchie and Nobby Stiles og. Beat that!

I agree OurMaurice, what a game that was. I also remember another game against Man U a few years before although not a comeback in the same game, we drew in the cup at Hillsborough and in the replay thrashed them 7-2 at Old Trafford, Kieth Ellis scoring 4.
The Fantham
Think you've pretty much killed his one magicouremaurace

2006 Mark Crossley against saints. probably not greatest comeback but it is the best i can remember feeling for a long time when we have been losing and looking like the game has gone!

Owls 4 -n Chelsea 4. 3 nowt up at half time only to go 4-3 down until a last minute Sterland pen. The 5-4 ManU game was just simply THE best - nice one ourMo.

In the 1982-1982 season I remember one game we were losing to Charlton at half time 3-1 but we went on to win the game 5-4

I remember the reading game, I'm sure a couple o week before or after we did the same to norwich! But the best has to be the play-off final! Or maybe megsons comeback into my good books

the wednesday man U 5-4 game was my mothers first ever match, my dad took her on the kop. my favourite comeback was also against man u but in 1991. we lead through hirst (with my favourite ever goal, a header in to the kop goal after getting between pallister and bruce and firing it past schmeichel) before we being 2-1 down at half time. Nigel Jemson came on in the second half and scored 2 to give us a 3-2 win. being as I wasn't there in '68 this will have to do!
Hirsty's Shinpads
lol Shinpads! Now there's a fella who knows how to show a girl a good time! It reminds me of the first time I took OurLass to a match: 3-0 win away to Grimsby around August'76. She was obviously impressed, we got married two months later. Often wonder what might've happened if we'd lost!
OurMaurice
i took my mrs to rushden & diamonds on our first date. we won 2-1 but looking back I can't believe what I was thinking
Hirsty's Shinpads
We definitely need to get out of this division, if only to give this family tradition some kind of credibility boost!
OurMaurice
Hirsty's shinpads, i bet that's the closest she's got to diamonds since!!! Someone must have taken their girlfriend up the Arsenal on a first date surely??
sussexowl
Sounds like you've been at your mate's dad's porno vids again sussex.
OurMaurice
Well we were definitely shafted by Arsenal in both cup finals in '93.
sussexowl
got to agree on the man utd game was part of the crowd as a 10 year old never forget that one
