Morrison returns as Coke fizzes for Bury

Striker Clinton Morrison will return to Wednesday today after completing a loan stint at npower League One rivals MK Dons.

Morrison featured in the final game of his loan stay with the Dons as Karl Robinson's men were held to a 0-0 draw at home against Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

The former Coventry City man enjoyed a productive spell with the Dons, but Owls boss Gary Megson has stressed that Robinson will have to splash the cash if they want the experienced frontman to return.

In the meantime, Morrison will be part of Megson's plans, although he's likely to be way down the pecking order with Gary Madine and Chris O'Grady in form and Ryan Lowe returning to fitness.

Defender Mark Beevers, also on-loan with the Dons, also featured and helped keep a clean sheet against the Iron, picking up a booking in the process - as did Morrison.

Meanwhile, another Owls loanee Giles Coke found the back of the net for Bury as they came from behind to beat Bournemouth 2-1 at Dean Court.

I agree Coke definitely offers much more than JOC. Has anyone else noticed our good run seems to coincide with Morrison going out on loan and it seems MK Dons have hit a bad patch with him there. I always thought he was alright but maybe he is a bad influence in the dressing room.

Im not sure. i think Morrison did a lot of the hard work and at times looked like the most intellgent player we had. Lowe looked very sharp for the 10 mins when he came on on sat and unlucky not to get one... really nice to have four real strikers why would we want to go down to three
