Owls to visit Morecambe in FA Cup
Wednesday will visit npower League Two side Morecambe in the FA Cup first round.
The draw for the first round proper took place on Sunday afternoon at Wembley Stadium and gave the Owls an away tie against league opposition in the world-famous competition.
The game will be played on the weekend of November 12 and its yet to be decided which games will be picked for live television coverage.
Gary Megson's men will be favourites to progress into the next round but the draw could have been kinder to Wednesday.
The Shrimps are currently in-form and flying high in League Two, sitting third in the automatic promotion places following their home win over Gillingham this weekend.
Elsewhere, Sheffield United will host Oxford United and FC Halifax Town will host League One leaders Charlton Athletic.

This has got live TV potential banana skin written all over it!Promotion is no.1 priority this season and although the JPT and Carling cups were sacrificed to achieive this I think the FA Cup needs a bit more respect, surely we can field a half decent team using the squad players?

I'd say you're both right. Charlton will get the nod for TV and GM will 'rotate'. He'll probably have to do without our loan signings anyway. We're all hoping for the best but if Marshall and Batth aren't selected then I'd say it's a sign Stoke and Wolves want them back come Jan. It'll be interesting this, we will respect the competition but I can't see us jeopardizing our promotion push for either cash or bananas.

the fa cup MUST be respected, ok we aint gonna win the thing, but 3rd/4h round is important to me and alot of other fans. just imagine getting city, m united, arsenal etc. full house at hillsborogh, it would be such a good advert for the club!
