Sedgwick linked with Rotherham return

Vital Wednesday understands Owls midfielder Chris Sedgwick could be on his way back to former club Rotherham United in January.

Sedgwick is understood to be way down the pecking order under current Owls boss Gary Megson and the situation has alerted the Millers, who are keen on his services.

The 'Yorkshire Express' is a die-hard Wednesdayite but hasn't been involved in first team affairs in recent weeks.

Vital sources have indicated that a fall-out between Megson and Sedgwick could be the reason for his lack of match action and an apparent desire to leave for pastures new.

Sedgwick came through the Rotherham youth ranks and made over 200 appearances for the Millers in all competitions, becoming a firm fans' favourite before moving on to Preston North End.

One option could see the midfielder move on-loan to Rotherham before completing a full deal in January with Millers boss Andy Scott understood to be keen on bolstering his squad with Sedgwick.

Tell you what, you can have him but we'll grossly over value him for a League One player and we'll dick you about on several ocassions and then sell him to somebody else! Ring any bells!?
Owls That!
There must be some truth in this if Mrs. Barrier's on the case.

Andy Scott has got some front. He Told Adam Le Frondre he could do better than us and he would rather him join someone else than Wednesday. Then he has the front to track one of our players.I know he is doen the pecking order but i hope GM makes Andy Scott eat his words.(what a Tosser)

Let Rotherham have him, best place for him in League 2. Cant believe hes still with us,wont play again for us so let him go to Rotherham or anyone else who wants him. Terrible signing, must be slowest winger Ive ever seen.
leons gloves
let him go has been a big disapointment just like teale was we need a quality right winger not somebody who is past there best

Another player I would pick ahead of J'OC but nevermind. Don't have a bad word to say about Sedgewick as a bloke but in League 1 is too slow and seems to be fading as a player. Had actually forgotten about him. What of Uchechi and that Latvian bloke....

i think the lefthand side of midfield is our problem position, jj, joc and lines have not really exelled there, i think gm played oconnor there as cover for redi who spends time in the opponents box for set pieces. just a thought Matt Phillips going back to Blackpool think he would be ideal for us and would p1ss off a few pigs

sedgwick is crap

sedgewick is better than jj that bloke is now stealing a living contributed nothing this season at least sedgy looked well when he came on when we played chesterfield
fozzyp
correct fozzy. we should have got shut of him in the summer.
Hirsty's Shinpads
Ok, he's not the greatest player to pull on the blue and white stripes but he sure is'nt the worst. On top of that, the guys a Wednesdayite. I thought he was looking ok before falling out of favour with GM. It's difficult to show any form/match fitness when you're not on the pitch getting games. If there is truth in this rumour then good luck Sedgy..... UTO WTID
Owlsmad
maybe we should play him in centre mid. he is obviously too slow for wingplay.
ozzietheowl
didnt realise he was still with us
