Former Owls midfielder Wallwork jailed

Former Wednesday and Manchester United midfielder Ronnie Wallwork has today been jailed for 15 months for selling on parts from stolen high-performance vehicles.

The 34-year-old was arrested last November while working out of a rented scrap yard in Newton Heath, Manchester, and was today given his sentence at Preston Crown Court.

Wallwork played for Wednesday in 2008 when he signed in January of that year on-loan until the end of the season. He played in seven games but wasn't signed a permanent basis at the end of the campaign.

The Owls were to be Wallwork's final club, after he came through the youth ranks at United and went on to play for West Brom. Loans with Bradford City, Barnsley and Huddersfield Town followed before his short-term switch to Hillsborough.

He had one really good game - against the Pigs when we won 2-0 at our place!

I heard the parts were from a ford granada. Im trying to work out which is the worst part of this reporting, calling them high performance parts or calling wallwork a footballer. He was one of those players, he couldnt play but he could stop those that could.
trustout
So his next game will be behind closed doors ????
