Semedo wins monthly Owls award

Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo has won the club's Player of the Month award for November.

The Portuguese midfield man has turned into a big fans' favourite at Hillsborough since his arrival at the club on a free transfer from Charlton Athletic in the summer.

He's played a key role in helping the Owls up to second in the npower League One table and his form has been reflected in Wednesdayites handing him 50 per cent of the votes for last month's award.

He pipped Reda Johnson, who won 39 per cent of the vote, and Chris Lines, who won nine per cent of the vote.

Semedo played in all five of Wednesday's games in November, which saw the Owls win four games and draw their other in all competitions.

I think there is a number of players performing well enough to win the award at the minute, which is just great news for the club. I've just seen the interview with RO'D on player and was amazed how mature and professional he is for his age. I can see him being a great servant to the club like our Big Kev. This is just the type of player we need at this club, what a great role model. The positive vibe coming out of S6 at the minute is great and sadly been missing for years. A HUGE well done to GM, the staff and of course the team and a MASSIVE (sorry couldn't resist) thank you to Mr Mandric, without whom we may no longer exist.... Wednesday are on the up and this time it feels like it's being done the right way. UTO WTID.

Agree with ecco Semedo is first name on the team sheet along with Ben Marshall for me. His workrate is incredible and can see why Megson wanted him so bad in the summer. Hope we can extend Marshalls loan until end of season cos he is outstanding. Fantastic signing by Megson.

p.s. Forgot to mention, Semedo throughly deserves this award as mentioned above his workrate is fantastic. Also GM deserves a pat on the back for getting him to S6. Now all we need is Marshall, Batth and Bywater in January and things will be looking rosie... UTO WTID.
