Megson up for League One award

Wednesday boss Gary Megson has made the four-man shortlist for the npower League One manager of the month award for November.

Megson has guided the Owls to four wins and one draw from their five matches in November, wins that took Wednesday into the automatic promotion spots and through to the third round of the FA Cup.

He'll be up against Charlton Athletic's Chris Powell, probably the favourite to win, MK Dons boss Karl Robinson and Bury's Wednesdayites boss Richie Barker.

The result will be screened live on Sky Sports News this Friday from 10am.

although this is a nice award for the manager to win i kinda hope he does'nt get it would'nt want the manager of the month curse hanging over us going into the huddersfield game

Well how about breaking the curse by winning it two times in a row so everyone can stop being so superstitious about this?? Meggo FTW! :)

No we dont want curse of manager of the month, just being nominated and the fact nobody is even questioning him at the moment shows he is doing a good job. I will admit I was sceptical at first and although his football style is not so good to watch if we win thats the main thing.

I don't beleive in superstition. He is the man for us and is cabable of taking us back to the prem. When we get there he may not be the man for the next step, but we'll see. I was sceptical at first. He can spot a good player and that is a great asset for a manager and one laws and AI didn't have.

no thanks but he is due

let him get manager of the year, when the season is over...

on a slightly different subject - Huddersfield are in for Ben Marshall according to reports. He's being lined up for a £500,000 bid.

That sounds like mischief, wouldn't you say? Eight days before the teams meet? Going back to topic, Gary Megson is a fine manager capable of taking this kind of speculation in his stride.
