Owls drawn at Blackpool in FA Cup

Wednesday face a trip to the seaside in the FA Cup fourth round after being drawn against npower Championship side Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

The draw took place this afternoon after the Owls saw off West Ham 1-0 at Hillsborough in the third round thanks to a late Chris O'Grady goal.

With all respect to Ian Holloway's side, it's not the draw Owls fans will have been hoping for but at least it's one that's winnable.

The game will take place on the weekend of January 28th and 29th, meaning the scheduled clash at MK Dons will have to be rearranged.

Blackpool booked their place in the fourth round thanks to a thumping 5-1 win at local rivals Fleetwood Town.

Other notable ties in the fourth round include Liverpool hosting Manchester United and Sheffield United hosting either Birmingham City or Wolves.

Fair play, it was a great win today, very nice finish from COG....shame we didn't get a home draw though - nor an exciting one either. Still, we did the double over Blackpool when we last played each other in the Championship a few years back...lets not mention how the teams both finished that season though eh!

Draw won't get the pulses racing, but at least it's a winnable one

Nice cold windy weekend in Blackpool it is then and hopefully into the the next round. Hope Megson starts Lowe on Saturday he showed (within 2 minutes) what he can do today with his assist.

It's a decent enough draw. Blackpool aren't as strong as West Ham and our away form ain't too shabby either. Plus, I've no objections if we have to shunt the game vs. MK back towards the end of the season.
