Coke returns to Bury on loan

Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke has returned to League One rivals Bury on-loan for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a spell on-loan at Gigg Lane earlier in the season and Bury boss Richie Barker has wasted no time in taking him back to bolster his side's midfield.

Coke was keen to prove himself at Hillsborough on his return at the end of October but is seemingly way down the pecking order under Owls boss Gary Megson.

The deal comes just a day after Wednesday announced the signing of winger Mike Jones from Bury. The Owls also signed striker Ryan Lowe from the Gigg Lane club at the start of the campaign.

Coke is expected to go straight into the Bury side that will face Sheffield United this weekend - and Wednesdsayites will be hoping the midfield man does his bit for the Owls in the process of helping Bury to some points against the Blades.

Wonder if coke was one of the mentioned players sat on his bum and happy to collect his wages ? Also heard today that Hull City were after Ben Marshall but Barmby has given up on this as he was told he was off to Wednesday . Any truth in this ?

Would've been my first guess too. As for the other one? I don't want to point fingers or anything, but it's odd that our 5th choice goalie goes out on loan while our 4th choice sits on his bum, happy to collect his wages.

Fourth choice goalkeeper has a pelvic issue at the moment which prevented our third choice going out on loan (Someone did want him) Meggo said he wanted to be safe and have three hence Cuff was loaned out instead. I wondered if the two who didn't want to go anywhere were two of Beevers, Coke and D. Jones??

In regards to Ben 10 I don't think one thing is actually known. My guess would be that if Ben wants to go anywhere he wants to come to us or someone in the Championship. I hope it all gets sorted one way or another sooner rather than later. The more we wait the less chance there is to get a suitable replacement. IMMIT

As I understand it it was Coke and Dan Jones. Beevers was at Mk Dons.
